Abstract | This paper is about the complexity of the new traditional order which should not be observed only from a single framework but from different and complementary ones. Teachers need to provide local - part of the personal identity - as well as general frameworks for themselves and their pupils. The paper presented by an author from Spain is subdivided into three parts. The first one shows the lack of effective links among the Social Sciences and the difficulty in understanding the whole world from an unique point of view (State framework). The second part analyses the changes one can notice when subjects are integrated from frameworks like the European Union and the North-South relationship. Finally the author emphasizes a need to identify structures where teachers can meet to exchange ideas, receive assistance and above all, develop their awareness of the processes of educational change.- This contribution was submitted by the author as a paper for the 25th ATEE Annual Conference in Barcelona 2000.
