Adams reaches out to educators who are struggling with the constancy of change in their field and offers them numerous strategies and tools that they can use to revitalize their love of teaching. The author notes that an educator's love of teaching is tied directly to their morale. As such, the author centers teacher relationships as the foundation of teacher morale and that, regardless of change in the school, strong relationships can strengthen morale. The author breaks teacher relationships down into five simple categories - relationships with the self, with colleagues, with students, with administrators, and with the community - and examines each in detail. The book examines, in detail, the ways in which these relationships operate and examines how these relationships either harm or help an educator. However, this book does not stop at the theoretical, but also offers numerous strategies that educators can utilize to build healthy relationships.
