Abstract | It is crucial to understand today's tenure-track workers so that colleges and universities can continue to attract and retain a large subset of them by understanding and supporting their satisfaction and success at work. In this article, the authors talk about data, leadership, and catalyzing culture change. They discuss data use in the academy and data use as a catalyst for culture change on four campuses. They look at what four different universities within the same system have done with faculty job satisfaction survey data to make themselves into great places for faculty to work.
