Abstract | The relationship between music education and physical education has often been portrayed as a competition for financial resources, student enrollment, instructional time, and community support. This article instead explores commonalities between the two disciplines, including their histories, curricular debates, shared concerns, mutual challenges, and potential futures. These issues are examined through examples of political narratives, or frames, that have been used to advance advocacy efforts and policy positions. (As Provided). |
