Abstract	In his article, Lohrmann clearly traces the evolution of school health programs from 3 traditional components to Allensworth and Kolbe's expanded concept comprehensive school health programs (CSHP) comprised of 8 interrelated and synergistic components that historically functioned independently in schools. With completion of "Health Is Academic," the focus of the framework shifted from "comprehensive" to "coordinated" to emphasize the interrelationship among components and the collaboration of individuals responsible for one or more program CSH components. In this article, the author comments on 4 shortcomings of the CSH visual that Lohrmann pointed out. The author also finds Lohrmann's complementary ecological model inclusive and comprehensive; it incorporates multiple factors, people, and processes identified over the last 20 years as significant for CSH implementation and sustainability. It reflects several layers of influence. His "chutes" running from outer rings to adjacent rings are meant to convey coordination and bidirectionality. But, in an attempt to be comprehensive, his new ecological model may be too complex for practice. It includes a combination of CSH program "components," "key individuals or groups," "governance structures," and "environmental factors." The author contends that unless a person truly understands not only CSH but also the interaction of multilevel factors that influence its implementation and sustainability, the proposed new model will likely confuse rather than clarify what schools could do, how, with whom, and when.
