Abstract	In most states those aspiring to be school superintendents must satisfy a series of post-master's requirements to receive the necessary certification. At the University of South Carolina, these academic requirements can be met through the completion of a 33 credit hour program culminating in an educational specialist's degree. A survey of recent specialists' level graduates at the University of South Carolina provided feedback regarding graduates' satisfaction with the program, its required courses, and the embedded ISLLC standards. The survey addressed such questions as how the specialist's degree has impacted graduates' academic and professional careers and how satisfied their satisfaction with the program and core courses. The findings were encouraging, with most expressing satisfaction with the program, while issues of relevancy of academic preparation are among the lingering concerns that need to be addressed. The results were also consistent with other recent surveys of superintendents, which indicate that they are generally pleased with their preparation programs. (Contains 3 tables.) (ERIC).
