Abstract | This article reports two studies investigating the relationship between noctcaelador (psychological attachment to the nightsky), and morning-evening preferences. Study 1 examined the relationship between the Noctcaelador Inventory (Kelly, 2004) and a shortened form of the Horne and Ostberg Morning-Eveningness Questionnaire (Chelminski, Petros, Plaud, & Ferraro, 2000). Study 2 examined the relationship between the Noctcaelador Inventory and the Preferences Scale (Smith et al.,2002). In both studies Noctcaelador was not significantly related to morning-evening orientation. It was concluded that diurnal patterns and time-of-day preferences exert little influence on night-sky watching behaviors and attitudes. (Author). |
