Abstract | Loss of hearing seriously affects individual development. Especially, a profound loss of hearing has effects in the evolution of a child's verbal language. Keeping in mind the level of the loss of hearing, a specific educational and recovering methodology has been adopted: on one hand, the stimulation of the hearing potential and the achieving of the verbal language with the implication of the mimic language or, on the other hand, the development of the communication, making use of the dactylleme and of the mimic language. The acceptance of children with big differences between the level of additive reception in the same educational group stands in the way of the optimum evolution of the most adequate communicational style for each one of them.
