Abstract | Illustrates the prominent role that historically Black institutions, such as Prairie View A & M University, play in Black progress in higher education. Programs like the Banneker Honors College of Prairie View can expand Black participation as researchers and practitioners in a highly technical society while also increasing the Black professoriate.
