Abstract | Discusses a study undertaken to determine the process of occupational achievement among men and women from labor market entry to midlife. Data are based on a longitudinal study of Wisconsin high school seniors. Findings indicated that, in contrast to several earlier studies, there are marked sex differences in the acquisition and maintenance of occupational status. Results are discussed. (DB) |
