Abstract | Despite affirmative action goals, few undergraduate women select profession-oriented majors, particulary in fields requiring mathematics or scientific aptitude. This study examined the decision-making process leading to choice of major. The pattern of decision-making between women who chose nontraditional majors and those who did not revealed significant differences. (Author) |
