Abstract | The lack of support for transfer students, specifically students with individualized education plans (IEP) into school environments, is problematic. At times, IEP students face additional obstacles and challenges due to their disabilities compared to the regular education population. The authors formulated a case that follows an IEP transfer student and his parents in a school environment that has seen an increase in its student population with bullying, harassment, and intimidation. This article illustrates the barriers IEP students and parents may encounter when seeking protection and solutions for their students in a hierarchical school system. (As Provided). |
