Abstract | Athens State University is an upper-division university that serves junior and senior undergraduate students, as well as graduate students. 100% of the students enrolled transfer from another institution. The sustainability of ASU requires policies and procedures that make the transfer process seamless and foster student success. As funding for public higher education becomes more competitive at the state level, public institutions are becoming more reliant on tuition, therefore embracing policies including a transfer-friendly approach that positively affects student persistence and retention is a necessity. This section examines the concept of transfer friendliness at Athens State University. Also provided are recommendations for managing transfer-friendly policies in a post-COVID-19 environment at a public university. (As Provided). |
