Abstract | The purpose of this paper is to present an automated approach for the marking and grading of the commonly used accounting practice assignment for first year financial accounting. The automated system has potential benefits for the reduction in time and cost to the running of the course as well as providing students with an objective standardised marking as well as timely feedback.
