Abstract	School counselors implement school counseling programs that serve to promote student success for all students. Character development can be an important element within school counseling programs. This article will provide a comprehensive overview of the establishment of character development in schools and within comprehensive school counseling programs. Further, a basic primer regarding students with autism spectrum disorder is presented for school counselors. In addition, a discussion provides examples of how a character development program can be applied in working with students on the autism spectrum through the use of social stories. (As Provided).
