Abstract | Mollison Ryan served as the undergraduate intern for "About Campus" during the 2016-2017 academic year. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2017 as a member of Phi Beta Kappa with a double major in Creative Writing and Professional and Technical Writing. She also holds a 2016 United States Equestrian Federation Horse of the Year title and is a United States Dressage Federation bronze medalist. Here she reflects upon her experiences as a dressage competitor, describing it as a life rhythm that is inherent to her daily experience and her education. Ryan also discusses how her dedication to horses, being a riding instructor, and her passion for writing intersect as she moves ahead after graduation into the role of a full time professional writer.
