AbstractUtilisation of community management strategies is an approach to governance that is based on community and organisational involvement. Communities with development projects have formed community projects management committees (CPMCs) that are encouraged to adopt the community management strategy in the planning and financing of community development projects (CDPs). However, there is a need to determine the extent to which these committees utilise planning and financing strategies in the management of CDPs in Enugu State, Nigeria. Adopting a descriptive survey research design, the instrument was administered to 810 CPMC members. The data was presented using frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations and student's t-tests. The study revealed that planning and financing strategies were utilised only to a moderate extent in the management of CDPs in Enugu State. Thus, the study recommended, among others, that state governments should promulgate community county council reform based on self-reliance and bottom-up planning. (As Provided).
