Abstract | In his article "Expanding Access to Learning with Mobile Digital Devices" (EJ1150752), Jeff Carter recommended a balanced perspective when measuring the potential of mobile learning to redefine teaching and learning for adults with basic skills needs. In response to Carter's article, the author makes some recommendations that she thinks will make the promise of mobile learning less "magical thinking" and more a reality for the broadest range of programs possible. She agrees with Carter that quality programming requires engaging, highly interactive online resources that require use of creativity and critical thinking. She adds that classroom or labs that provide differentiated instruction through the use of online resources and adequate support for use of these resources work well. (ERIC). |
