Abstract | The question of how to assess the value of what professors do should engage all. Within this context, Donald R. Bacon and Kim A. Stewart's (2016) essay, "Why Assessment Will Never Work at Many Business Schools," is a laudable effort with important insights. In this rejoinder, Nesteruk, for the most part, is in substantial agreement with the authors' analysis as far as it goes. Nesteruk believes, though, that the assessment picture is more complex around the edges than Bacon and Stewart describe. Nesteruk addresses the "issues around the edges" and warns of the need to remain cognizant of these issues in the assessment efforts in order to realize the shared goal of improving the learning of future business practitioners.
