Abstract | Many universities have decided to invest in updating their informal learning spaces. One decision to be made in planning the space is how to staff it. The researchers carried out a qualitative case study to better understand the perspective of learning space managers who work in offices within their assigned space. The research generated six themes from the perceptions of the managers, observations of their activities, and document analysis. The authors also introduce a concept that they call "situated spatial interactions" to explain the complexity of student behavior and interactions in informal learning spaces. (As Provided). |
