Abstract | According to Halliday, it is language that enables human beings to form the impression of experience, which consists of "goings-on"--happening, doing, sensing, meaning and being and becoming, either internally and externally. This is the experiential metafunction. With the focus on Transitivity, a political discourse has been studied from the perspective of Experiential Function. More uses of material and relational processes can make the speech more powerful and persuasive. (As Provided). |
