Abstract | This brief describes patterns of student homelessness and education indicators in Camden City School District. Students who experience homelessness are more likely to enroll late, transfer early, or both. They are enrolled for fewer days, on average, and more likely to repeat a grade, change school mid-year, and be chronically absent. These differences are exacerbated for students who experience homelessness for multiple school years. [This brief was created as part of a research-practice partnership among Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, Camden City School District, and Nemours, Children's Health System.] (As Provided). |
