Abstract | The Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) strives to continuously advance the practice of governance by designing and instilling best practices and advocating nationally on issues that affect higher education. AGB shares vital information and knowledge with members and provides customized consulting services to help cultivate a structure of thriving colleges, universities, and institutionally-related foundations. It is with these goals in mind that AGB presents the 2014 Annual Report "Advocate." AGB's work over the past year focused on their role as advocates for colleges' and universities' core missions, for informed leadership and effective partnerships, and for the future of higher education governance.
