Abstract	This qualitative case study explored the adaptation process of immigrant educators who had immigrated to the United States from various countries. Five professional educators from a region in southwest Texas were interviewed as well as 15 other immigrant educators who completed a survey of 16 questions. The purpose of this study was to illustrate how the experiences of immigrants who transitioned into the educational field could expand the knowledge of cultural diversity in the twenty-first century and the challenges that immigrants face when entering American society. This study also compared the life experiences of these professional educators while acculturating into a new society. After the completion of interviews and surveys, the data was analyzed using qualitative methods after examining common themes between the participants. These experiences included the importance of support systems, involvement in extra-curricular activities, discrimination by the same ethnicity, and the need for resiliency and adaptation. Educators may learn and apply understanding from these experiences and offer support to immigrant students in the classroom. They must become more culturally responsive, explore diversity, social justice, and equity and include these elements into school culture to better serve students, especially immigrant students. The results of this case study provided meaningful and valuable information for school leaders confronted with the task of meeting the needs of newly arrived immigrant students.
