| Abstract | This bulletin presents the complete report of the 69 land-grant institutions for the period 1945-46. Statistics in the preliminary report have been revised to conform to corrections made by the institutions. Highlighted findings include: (1) Staff--There was an increase in the staffs of land-grant institutions for 1945-46 over 1944-45 in all departments except Government-contract courses; (2) Students--The data for 1945-46 show a full-time enrollment of 294,109 in the regular session in the institutions for white students, compared with 181,916 for 1944-45. In the institutions for Negroes the total enrollment of 15,761 full-time students in 1945-46 increased from 11,399 in 1944-45; (3) Income--In institutions for white students, total educational and general income for 1945-46 shows a decrease of $1,358,830 under the previous year. In the 17 institutions for Negroes, total income increased slightly with increases in all categories except "miscellaneous income"; (4) Expenditures--Total expenditures for educational and general, and "other noneducational" items in 1945-46 increased to $230,332,019 from $196,327,180 in 1944-45. Expenditures for every service showed an increase over the previous year; (5) Federal Funds--Federal funds were over $40,000,000 less than in the previous year due to the expiration of war contracts by the War and Navy Departments.
