| Abstract | The National Association of State Directors of Special Education has published documents on home schooling and various aspects of the charter school movement, but not on other types of school choice such as vouchers. This Project Forum document focuses on voucher programs that are specifically designed to provide public funds for parental enrollment of children with disabilities in private schools. Project Forum developed an interview protocol and identified four states that currently offer voucher programs specifically for students with disabilities. Representatives from the four states--"Arizona", "Florida", "Ohio" and "Utah"--were interviewed during November and December, 2006. Interviews were transcribed and analyzed using Atlas.ti, a software program designed to aid in the analysis of qualitative data. Findings are reported in the following section.
