Abstract | This Technical Report is designed to provide technical detail to support the analysis and findings presented in the "Head Start Impact Study Final Report" (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, January 2010). Chapter 1 provides an overview of the Head Start Impact Study and its findings. Chapter 2 provides technical information on the analytical sampling weights used in the analysis. A description of the outcome measures and their psychometric properties is provided in Chapter 3 and the description of the data collection procedures is provided in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 provides a description of the impact analysis methods including ITT (intent-to-treat) impact estimates, IOT (impact on the treated) impact estimates, and subgroup impact estimates.
