Abstract | This resource was developed by the National Writing Project's (NWP's) African American Learners Project and written by Bob Fecho from the Red Clay Writing Project in Georgia, in anticipation of the 2007 Urban Sites Conference keynote address by Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings. Fecho discusses Ladson-Billings' 2006 American Educational Research Association (AERA) address as well as her writings and contributions to the field of education. The resource is meant to familiarize readers with Ladson-Billings' research and to provide an orientation to issues addressed at the Urban Sites Conference.
