| Abstract | This issue of the International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa (IICBA) Newsletter, published quarterly in English and French, focuses on the impact of decentralization of education management on education outcomes in Africa. It contains the following articles: (1) Decentralisation and School Improvement: A Comment on Research in West Africa (A. De Grauwe); (2) Decentralisation in Higher Education Management (Bikas C. Sanyal); Management and Governance for EFA: Decentralisation Really the Answer (Mark Bray and M. V. Mukundan); and (4) The Impact of Decentralisation on Education Outcomes in Africa (Tom Allan). A section on news in brief concludes the newsletter. (ERIC). |
