Abstract | These Connecticut vocational and technical performance standards and competencies are a guide for overall quality attainment in these seven vocational and technical program areas: agricultural science technology education; business and finance technology education; cooperative work education; family and consumer sciences education; marketing education; medical careers education; and technology education. For these program areas, 17 subject area standards and competencies have been determined. This document is intended to assist local districts in raising expectations, upgrading and improving vocational and technical curriculum and instruction, promoting growth in student achievement, and preparing students effectively for the vocational and technical education statewide assessments. Each program area consists of 1-7 subject areas of concentration or content areas. A content measure is provided for each content area. Each content area consists of performance standards with related competencies for each standard. (YLB) |
