Abstract	This report presents a profile of transfer students admitted to Simon Fraser University (SFU) from British Columbia (BC), Canada, colleges from 1992/93 to 1996/97. Section A provides a general profile of transfer students by: college from which students transferred to SFU, number of transfer credits students were admitted with, number of credit hours students registered for in their first semester, faculty in which students intended to major, degree goal or credential students pursued, program(s) students pursued, age upon admission to SFU, and gender. Section B presents academic performance indicators for transfer students by: grade point average (GPA) upon admission through to graduation, grade performance in selected courses at SFU compared to direct entry students, and degree completion rate. In Section C, trends in GPA performance, from admission through to graduation, distribution of programs from which they graduated, distribution of credentials awarded, and average number of semesters required to graduate are examined for those transfer students who have graduated. Section D explores a group of students who had some college experience, but were admitted to SFU as "non-BC College Transfers." This section shows distributions by: college from which students had some transfer credits, year and basis of admission, admission GPA by basis of admission, age upon admission to SFU, and gender.
