| Abstract | This guide contains a comprehensive, annotated resource list intended to assist teachers in selecting resources for the kindergarten classroom. The resources are listed alphabetically under the two main headings: Series and Individual Resources. A listing of suppliers, including regional resource and urban media centers, and a title/series index are included as additional information. All resources are authorized by the Minister of Alberta Education to meet the criteria for acceptability, which include: (1) curriculum fit and instructional design; (2) tolerance and understanding; (3) developmental appropriateness; (4) physical properties; (5) cost; and (6) Canadian content. Resources are included in the areas of: (1) language arts; (2) mathematics; (3) community and environmental awareness; (4) personal and social responsibility; (5) physical skills and well-being; and (6) creative and cultural expression.
