| Abstract | This sourcebook is an indexed compilation, on microfiches, of material published during 1992 and 1993 in "Library Technology Reports" (LTR) and "Library Systems Newsletter.""LTR" is a publication by the American Library Association (ALA) which provides critical evaluation of products and systems used in libraries, media centers, and other educational institutions. Evaluations are designed to enable the management and staff of these institutions to make informed purchasing decisions. "LTR" also gives manufacturers and suppliers feedback about the strengths and weaknesses of their products. "Library Systems Newsletter" covers the field of library automation, with an emphasis on turnkey automated library systems. Index A contains "LTR" information, and "Library Systems Newsletters" are in Index B. Both components are indexed by subject, company names and product, and microfiche location symbols are provided for access to documents. Eighteen microfiche containing the reports and newsletters are included. (MAS) |
