Abstract	This curriculum guide is designed to help teachers to present a course that emphasizes the interrelationship of science and technology and the impact of this technology on agriculture and agricultural products. The guide contains six units that each contain some or all of the following basic components of a unit of instruction: objective sheet, suggested activities for the teacher, answers to assignment sheets, written test and answers, unit evaluation form, teacher supplements, transparency masters, information sheets, assignment sheets, student supplements, job sheets, and laboratory sheets. The units cover the following topics: (1) introduction to biotechnology; (2) genetics and genetic engineering; (3) impacts of biotechnology; (4) biotechnology in plant science; (5) biotechnology in animal science; and (6) microbial biotechnology in agriculture. Supplemental materials include information on use of the publication; a student competency profile sheet; an instructional/task analysis; a list of related and academic workplace skills; a tools, equipment, and materials list; 31 references; and a 124-term glossary.
