Abstract | The purpose of this study was to collect data concerning various aspects of the vocational teacher education programs in the 22 University Council for Vocational Education member institutions. This study was third in a series sponsored by the council to develop a database so that the current status and trends in these programs could be determined. Certain data collected in the 1985 and 1987 studies are presented with the report so comparisons in various categories can be made. Findings, based on an analysis of the data and a review of the material provided by the respondents are presented under the following headings: (1) personnel; (2) compensations of faculty, graduate students, and unit administrator; (3) faculty assignments; (4) credit hour production; (5) financial support; (6) institutional and international student enrollment; (7) doctoral program data; (8) masters program data; (9) undergraduate program data; (10) integrating academic and vocational education; and (11) institutional trends.
