Abstract	Part of a series of classroom aids designed for real estate instructors, this instructional packet was developed to help real estate students understand requirements for structure of the Texas real estate brokerage industry. First, information is presented on real estate brokerage, touching upon the industry's growth and the expansion of brokerage firms, the factors behind the apparently decisive advantage of large firms, contrasting perceptions of the fate of independent brokerage operations, potential liabilities of national brokerage firms (e.g., high overhead costs, slow market activity, and the vulnerability associated with size), and future directions in the brokerage industry. Included in the presentation are tables headed "Average Distribution of Company Dollar for Various Types of Brokerage Firms,""Annual Sales Revenue by Franchised Firms, 1975-83,""Number of Franchised Establishments, 1975-83," and "Characteristics of Various Service Industries Relating to Industry Structure."
