Abstract | This Systems and Procedures Exchange Center (SPEC) kit is a collection of documents pertaining to collective bargaining in an academic environment. Three documents from the Academic Collective Bargaining Information Service are included: "Legal Principles of Public Sector Bargaining,""What's Actually in a Faculty Contract," and "Some Suggested Advantages and Disadvantages of Collective Bargaining." The collection also contains: (1) "Some Do's and Don'ts for Administrators when Discussing Unionization" (Syracuse University); (2) "Election Documentation" (University of Washington); (3) "Union Contract for Designated Library and Archives Supporting Staff Classifications" (University of Pennsylvania); (4) "Policy and Rules--Nonacademic--on Union Activity" (University of Illinois); and (5) "Agreement between Wayne State University and the Wayne State University Chapter of the American Association of University Professors" (Wayne State University).
