Abstract | As one of a series of curriculum guides for office education programs in Texas, this guide contains 24 units of instruction in office duplication practices. Each of the units contains a unit outline that lists unit objective, specific objectives, teacher and student activities, estimated completion time, re-teach activities, and resources; and a performance chart for recording student mastery of activities. The units are grouped into three general areas: introduction to office duplication practices, clerical, and duplication. Introductory units cover orientation; safety; grooming, hygiene, and nutrition; human relations; job application and interview; job success; and leadership development. Clerical units focus on keyboarding, letter typing, proofreading, using resources and references, language usage, communication, telephone usage, filing, and organizing work. Duplication units cover measurement, paper characteristics, copy preparation, fluid duplication, stencil duplication, platemaking, offset duplication, and supplementary machines. Six appendixes to the guide provide lists of publishers, professional publications, and essential elements of office education correlated to curriculum publications; a preemployment laboratory program; and plans for classroom organization.
