Abstract | This document provides the appendices for volume 1 of the final evaluation report of Project Developmental Continuity (PDC), a Head Start demonstration project initiated in 1974 to develop program models which enhance children's social competence by fostering developmental continuity from preschool through the early elementary grades. Specifically, the nine appendices presented provide information about (1) conclusions and implications from the first phase of PDC's evaluation (from 1974 to 1978); (2) patterns of attrition over time in the children's sample, along with the consequences of these changes; (3) measurement of participating institutions' individual features; (4) the annual compliance and implementation level ratings by site, as summarized in tabular form; (5) data collection procedures; (6, 7, 8) measures employed to evaluate, respectively, PDC's impact on parents, teachers, and children; and (9) results from all the analyses, provided in tabular form.
