| Abstract | Presented is the annual report of the Developmental Mathematics Curriculum Committee (DMC), a standing committee of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC). Organized in 1974, DMC is comprised of members of AMATYC interested in developmental mathematics. Developmental mathematics is roughly defined as remedial mathematics, and includes arithmetic topics, basics of algebra, and elementary geometry. This report covers the activities and research results of the subcommittees of DMC, lists DMC goals and objectives, and reviews the 1977-82 five-year plan. Individual reports include information from the following subcommittees: Evaluation Model, Hand-Held Calculators, Learning Problems, Minimal Competency, Newsletter for DMC, Teacher Qualifications, and Testing. It is concluded that it is time to revise the long time objectives of the DMC Committee and the goals of the subcommittees. The report ends with a summary of the individual subcommittee statements.
