Abstract | This competency-based prevocational exploration curriculum in agribusiness and natural resources is divided into the following eight areas: agricultural business (sales); animal science (health and grooming); horticulture (grafting and budding); agricultural products (grading eggs); plant science (germination); soil science (soil acidity and alkalinity); agricultural mechanics (small engine maintenance); and natural resources (forestry measurements). The exercises in each area are designed to help the students explore their own interests and attitudes towards careers in these areas and experience some of the tasks that workers might be expected to perform. A teacher's guide (CE 022 471) accompanies this document. (BM) |
