Abstract | Thirty-five objectives and related test items assessing general business skills taught in grades 10 through 12 are included in this collection. Each objective is stated in operational terms and identified by a subject area within the hood category of general business. Objectives include the desired behavior and subject content so that students are required to demonstrate mastery of the processes and concepts pertinent to the general field of business. Most of the objectives require performance depreciation and bad debts, recording accrual and deferred expenses, and than constructing responses. Business subjects for which objectives and test items have been written include money and banking; consumer buying and credit; economic risks (insurance); money management, communication and transportation; sales and merchandising; and business mathematics. Each objective contains three elements: the objective, test items, and means of judging the adequacy of student responses. (MH) |
