| Abstract | This model is an attempt to create a measure of resources to reflect the value of persons, groups, villages, provinces, or nations in terms of education. It attempts to measure human assets and nonhuman material elements. To measure gross cumulative factors, this measure of wealth considers population, environmental learning, and formal learning. To measure attenuating factors, the model considers personal dynamics, nonhuman resources, community development, nonformal and informal educational offerings, village management, school learning environment, school personnel and administration, and school facilities. This model of the gross product of education was applied to villages and provinces in Pakistan as well as to the whole country. The model is intended to provide a tool for use in community and village development and long-range planning. It is also meant to be used in pinpointing deficiencies in the development of a village; in comparing villages, provinces, or nations; or in assessing progress in human resource development.
