| Abstract | Placement Center clients (N=635) were interviewed during winter and spring quarters, 1978, as a part of the regular series of student affairs surveys at the University of Washington. Results indicated: (1) general satisfaction with the Placement Center; (2) disproportionate use of the Center by eudcation, business administration, and engineering (as opposed to liberal arts) majors; and (3) a tendency for many students to wait until late in their educational careers to seek assistance. Opinions on the Placement Center did not appear to be systematically differentiated by class, college major, or ethnic status. Although this document is geographically specific, the appendices contain client survey instruments which have a broad range of potential uses. (Author) |
