Abstract | Cooperating teachers are an essential factor in the teacher education process. The stated objectives of these guidelines for cooperating teachers are to: (1) consider the expectations and anxieties of the student teacher, cooperating teacher, and university supervisor; (2) provide cooperating teachers with suggestions for introducing student teachers to the teaching experience; (3) provide suggestions for cooperating teachers; and (4) provide cooperating teachers with information particular to teacher education programs at Oklahoma State University.
