| Abstract | Admissions and records professionals conducted a survey of salary levels in their profession. Comparisons between types of institutions both across the nation and within l0 regions can be made. After the design of the survey instrument, data collection of two types was undertaken. Institutional data concerned the size, type, and control of the institutions and functional area through which the office reports, and individual data on admissions and records professionals concerned sex, years in current position, area of primary responsibility, union membership, salary ranges, and level of responsibility. Usable information was obtained from 2,203 institutions for a return rate of 73 percent. The number of professional staff represented was 7,071. A notable finding was a difference in salaries paid to men and women. Thirty tables are presented, and a sample survey is appended. (SU) |
