Abstract | The quarter annual reports about "Sesame Street" from the Children's Television Workshop (CTW) from 1969 through 1975 were analyzed for evidence that criticism in the periodical literature had influenced the programming and decision making policies of CTW during that time, as well as the audiences involved. Significant evidence that audiences other than children affected changes in programming was not found; the quarter annual reports failed to identify such critical reactions for correlation with programming and policy decisions. Appendices include the citations of the reports and the 187 books and articles analyzed in this study. (CMV) |
