Abstract	Open College, a Division of Miami-Dade Community College, offers opportunities for academic work to persons finding it difficult to attend campus classes or feeling they can pursue academic work without class meetings. Credit courses are presented through a multi-media system of television, radio, and audio-visual cassettes in conjunction with printed materials and a computer-based feedback system for individualized instruction, Response System with Variable Prescriptions (RSVP). Examinations are generally taken on campus. This report describes the program for 1976-77 according to courses offered, enrollments, student characteristics and retention, student utilization of RSVP and bonus point plans, grade distribution, characteristics correlated with exam scores, and multiple regression analysis which found that available student data did not account for differences in achievement. Appendices provide examples of the RSVP course performance surveys and feedback letters, and information on student characteristics by program, RSVP participation information by course, examination techniques and results, end of term grade distribution and course completion, and results of step-by-step multiple regression analysis.
