Abstract | Results of an analysis of the 1124 students who transfered to Grand Valley State Colleges (GVSC) are provided. Twenty percent of these transfer students came from Grand Rapids Junior College (GRJC). Of the GRJC transfer students, 54 percent entered GVSC with their area of study undeclared. Of those who declare a major or area of study, business, physics, sociology, public service, and a bachelor of philosophy degree account for half of the choices. The number and percent of male and female students transferring to GVSC within specified ranges of credit hours are shown. It was found that the transfer population contained 71 percent males to 29 percent females. (Author/SPG) |
