| Abstract | This report presents the results of an inquiry initiated by the Dissemination Policy Council of the Educational Division of HEW into the present strengths and weaknesses of educational information dissemination in the nation and what policies or policy changes at the Federal level might be implemented to help deal with the weaknesses. Recommendations include: (1) establishment of consistent definitions in law and in practice; (2) establishment of planning and administrative mechanisms at all levels; (3) initiation of training programs; (4) improved research, development, evaluation, and collection of descriptive data; (5)increased financial resources for dissemination; and (6) development of a nationwide vision of a comprehensive educational dissemination system.
